Hope your weekend is going well. Here's a card we made at Stamp Club this week.
I had been seeing the Scalloped top tag topper punch cards all over Pinterest and just had to try making one. I always like to teach new things at stamp club and thought this would be a great one. Plus it was a great opportunity to use my new Hardwood Stamp.
For the base, I used Crumb cake cardstock. If you go to this YouTube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EAVN9OTerI
you can see how to make it. Once you get the concept, it's really pretty easy.
I stamped the Hardwood stamp with Soft Suede ink and then cut a strip to put on the top piece and cut some "planks" to go across. The Vintage Trinkets brads work perfectly for your "nailheads". The planks are raised by dimensionals.
On top, we stamped Strawberry Slush ink onto Whisper White using the Flower Shop stamp set punched out by the Pansy punch. In the middle of the flower, we used the same ink and cardstock with the Petite Petals stamp set punched out with the coordinating punch. For the center of the flower I punched out a Gumball Green cardstock with the Itty Bitty punch pack with a Basic Pearl in the middle.
The leaves are Gumball Green cardstock punched out with the Bird Builder punch
I stamped off the Strawberry Slush ink onto the inside of the card.
What is so neat about this card is the two "tag ends" that keep the card closed by tying the Strawberry Slush Stitched Satin Ribbon into a bow.
Loved it! Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!
